Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Bread knife
  • Serving Tray

Ingredients

Food Ingredients:

  • ricotta
  • 1 loaf bread Italian, French, or crusty wheat
  • peach preserves

Flavor Balancers:

  • black pepper to taste
  • dried oregano

Instructions

  • Slice bread into 1” thick slices. Spread a healthy coating of ricotta on slices. Sprinkle black pepper on top of ricotta. Now smother ricotta with peach preserves. Sprinkle oregano on top.

Notes

Do all steps at once for each piece for ease of assembly. Can be frozen but not refrigerated. Refrigeration dries out bread where freezing it preserves it properly. For ease and convenience, you can always use a good sandwich bread that has been lightly toasted. Do not toast if mouth sores are present.
