  • Baking Sheet
  • Baking Parchment Paper
  • mixing bowl
  • Handheld Mixer with Beater Attachment

  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter softened or margarine
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 cups M&M chocolate candies

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F
  • Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt together in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add flour baking powder, and eggs and beat with a mixer or large spoon until it forms a cookie batter.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil or baking paper.
  • Drop cookies onto the baking sheet in large tablespoons.
  • Optionally allow dough to chill for an hour or so.
  • Press M&M’s into the top of the cookie balls, pressing them in lightly.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F, 9-11 min until golden brown.
  • Cool on the baking sheets for about 3 minutes, and then allow to cool off the sheet.

You can mix half of the M&M’s into the dough, and then press half into the cookie balls. This gives a nice blend of a pretty visual appeal, and thorough chocolate spread inside of the cookie dough.
